
Louis Poulsen was founded in 1874 by Ludvig R. Poulsen in Denmark. In 1906, his nephew Louis Poulsen took over the company and renamed it to Louis Poulsen & Co. The function and design of the lamps are tailored to reflect the rhythm of natural light, every detail has a purpose. One of Louis Poulsen's most famous articles is the PH lamp, which was designed in 1926 by Poul Henningsen. Louis Poulsen also works closely with other well-known designers such as Arne Jacobsen, Verner Panton, Øivind Slaatto, Alfred Homann, Oki Sato and Louise Campbell.
