The Toldbod luminaires are designed according to Poul Henningsen's guidelines for glare-free lighting. The Toldbod series began as the last experiment with street lighting that Poul Henningsen undertook before his death.
During his lifetime, this outdoor lighting became nothing more than an experiment in a suburban area north of Copenhagen, but now the technical development has finally caught up with Henningsen's visionary ideas. However, the design is unchanged - a discreet, low-key and perfectly proportioned expression that blends into all architectural contexts without becoming colorless for a second.
