PH 4/3 Table lamp
PH 4/3 table lamp is a member of the family PH 3. The principle behind the PH 3 screen luminaire was developed during a few winter months 1925-26 for the exhibition hall Forum in Copenhagen.
Poul Henningsen himself said about the three-screen luminaire The real innovation in the PH lamp is that it produces lighting that is both glare-free and economical. It is fairly easy to create glare-free light (indirect and strongly shielded light) if some of the light is allowed to be wasted and it is just as easy to make luminaires that are highly efficient if you ignore the fact that they irritate the eye. However, it is an art form to make the light both economical and glare-free.
