PH 2/2 Luna Table Lamp Aged Brass
Designed by Poul Henningsen, PH Luna was originally introduced in 1939 and was known as the "night lamp". The characteristic curved shape of the shaft makes PH Luna easily recognizable and the brushed brass finish is a soft and classic complement to the opal glass shades. Originally PH Luna was only 230 mm high, but in this new limited edition it is a little higher to suit different uses. You adjust the lamp head by turning it to suit your needs. Now Louis Poulsen is launching PH 2/2 in the "Aged Brass" version, which gives the lamp a vintage charm. It is a beautiful lacquered brass finish in dark brown that is reminiscent of the original PH lamps from the 1930s.
Aged Brass
-The brass parts are partly cast, extruded and pressed.
-Each brass component is gently and lightly brushed to create a fine texture that follows its round shapes.
-The raw brass is carefully patinated through a precise process to darken the surface.
-The brass shades are combined with a white lacquered reflector shade on the inside to improve light reflection, giving a soft, downward glow.
-The brass surface is lacquered to preserve its appearance and ensure that it does not patina over time.
