PK52A Student Desk
The PK52A Student Desk was designed by Poul Kjærholm for the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts during his time there. The skillfully constructed table highlights Kjærholm’s signature design and ability to combine traditional craftsmanship and industrial design. The simple form exemplifies the lightness and geometric elegance that Kjærholm became known for – and his groundbreaking creations such as the PK52A Student Desk also helped to place Danish design on the world map. The PK52A is also available in a larger version in the form of the PK52 Professor’s Table. Both desks can easily function as dining tables as the table tops are reversible, making it possible to use each side for its own purpose. The tables have an optional drawer that offers an aesthetic storage solution.
