FH429 Signature Armchair The signature chair FH429 was designed by Frits Henningsen, the last piece of furniture he designed and manufactured. Henningsen always made his own patterns and often started by creating a small model - in this case with modeling clay and toothpicks. The frame was then made in his Copenhagen workshop, underwent months of tests and adjustments before Henningsen was satisfied. After the lounge chair was completed in 1954, fewer than 20 were produced. Carl Hansen & Søn introduced the design in 2015. The simplicity of Henningsen's work increased over the years. The signature chair will be his cleanest, most distinctive design. His interest in achieving comfort and elegance by using graceful, curved lines is evident in this final project. Its soft, inviting shapes and floating armrests create a simple, organic shape. The huge selection of fabrics and leather can be found among the pictures.
