CH53 Footstool

CH53 Footstool The stylish footstool CH53 was designed by Hans J. Wegner in 1966 for the Danish furniture manufacturer Carl Hansen & Søn. The footstool is a very elegant craft and one of Wegner's Shaker-inspired works where CH44, CH46 and CH47 are included. It was designed for the CH44 armchair but works really well standing up for itself in a hall, or for example in a bedroom. CH53 has a seat that is hand-woven with waxed paper string in a beautiful pattern. The paper string is available in the colors natural and black and the frame comes in oak or beech with different surface treatments and colors. Hans J. Wegner was a Danish architect and furniture designer. Today he is considered one of the greatest furniture designers of the 20th century and during his lifetime he came to design with more than 500 models of chairs. Beech has a minimal structure when it is painted and varnished in all colors. Among the pictures, the colors are exposed. Below each color box is a code that you then type in the "Enter color code" box. Oak has a clearly visible wood structure when it is painted and painted only in black. CH53 is available in two heights: 41 and 43 cm.
