CH07 Shell Armchair Carl Hansen & Søn's three - legged armchair Shell Chair was introduced in 1963 by designer Hans J. Wegner. Mixed reviews in the 1960s together with the less developed production techniques of the time resulted in very limited production and the armchair was then forgotten. When Carl Hansen & Søn reintroduced the armchair in 1998, interest in chairs with a clear individual design had increased. CH07 begins to be produced and gets its big breakthrough. The armchair has since been given some nicknames such as The Smiling Chair, thanks to the smiling shape of the beautiful curves. CH07 fits perfectly with Wegner's round coffee table CH008. Beech is only made with lacquer paints as a surface treatment. Beech has a minimal structure when it is painted and varnished in all colors. Choose from the NCS colors that are among the images. When choosing a smoked appearance in oak, the chair is delivered treated with smoke stained. Wood is not smoked. Oak has a clearly visible wood structure when it is painted and painted only in black.
