String Pocket in pine is now being launched to celebrate Nisse and Kajsa Strinning's iconic shelf. This year the String shelf is 75 years old and to celebrate their timeless design, String Furniture is releasing a limited edition.
In 1949, Nisse and Kajsa Strinning Bonnier won the bookshelf competition with a shelf made of blue ends and pine shelves. For String's 75th anniversary, we have produced a limited edition of one thousand nine hundred and forty-nine shelves with original blue wall ends and shelves in white oiled pine. Just like the winning design from 1949.
