Eames Plastic Armchair LAR Lounge Chair Fully upholstery
Eames Plastic Chair by Charles and Ray Eames is one of the most important creations in furniture history. The Eames couple developed this design for the "Low Cost Furniture Design" competition organized by the Museum of Modern Art in 1948. It was then launched on the market in 1950 in an armchair version and as a simpler chair, making them the very first mass-produced chairs made of plastic. .
A multifunctional chair whose shell can be varied with a variety of bases was born. With this debut, a new furniture typology was introduced which has since spread all over the world.
