It all began in 1949 when Bonniers organized a competition to find a shelf system that was both affordable, easy to transport, assemble and install. Nils & Kajsa Strinning won the competition with their brilliant shelf system. String® - a flexible, elegant and minimalist system. Nils was quick, innovative and constantly came up with new ideas while Kajsa was careful and patient. Together, they created a timeless shelf system that is still very popular today and never tiring because the system can change afterwards. A lifelong investment!
