Skyline Wall lamp Brass
Skyline is reminiscent of a stylized floating city, a modern crystal chandelier, an angular, pleated, cubist revelation. The luminaire, which means the name Skyline, is inspired by a city silhouette.
"We saw it as abstract satellite cities hovering over the dining room tables, and called the models Farsta and Husby," says Anna Holmquist, who together with Chandra Ahlsell forms the design duo Folkform.
Three different lamps were designed, with inspiration taken from the architecture of the million programs with element-built lengths, attic corridors and parking garages, a reality that in the past has mostly had to symbolize boredom and decay.
Anna, who grew up in Vällingby, has the design language in her heart. The pendant and the floor lamp both have the same basic shape. Skyline gives an interesting geometric pattern of the light and the brass is untreated to let it age over time, a beautiful oxidized surface is to be expected.
