Pine Table
There is something both terrestrial Nordic and explicitly avant-garde about Normann Copenhagen's collection of small tables called Pine. The tables are made of solid pine and have a characteristic and sculptural design.
The choice of pine wood sets the tone for the design of the tables. The tables get a satisfying organic quality from the characteristic features of the wood, and the wood gives life to the playful shape. Designer Simon Legald explains:
"In furniture design, pine has long been a forgotten kind of wood. It's a shame, because pine is absolutely not without properties. For me, the wood's burning growth and characteristic aromas represent Nordic soul and warmth. in large quantities".
With its voluminous octangular foot, Pine can lend prominence and become vibrant in any room. The important body is gently opposite to the narrow, rounded edge of the table top, which gives a visual lightness to the solid tree design. The wood is presented in its natural form or with a colored stain, which makes the veins appear.
