Shell Wool Rug SHELL rug is a patterned wool rug and part of Layered's collaboration with Swedish contemporary artist Åsa Jungnelius. With a strong emphasis on body and soul, color and form, Åsa Jungnelius' artistic vision and symbolic aesthetic bring a strong sense of feminine power to every object she creates, and to every home it moves into. The rug's structure is created with a blend of wool and tencel which gives the rug a glossy finish. Tencel is a high-quality version of viscose, and just like wool, it is environmentally friendly and very durable. The rug is handwoven, making each rug unique, this may result in a slight variation in size and color. Due to its hand-tufted construction, the rug has a tendency to shed fibers at first and we therefore recommend that you vacuum the rug regularly. Please note that colors may be experienced differently depending on lighting and the surrounding environment. Environmental images may therefore differ slightly in tone compared to product images taken in neutral light. We recommend ordering samples to ensure how the color is experienced in your home.
