Virvel Rug
This classic design pattern was initially created as a wall-to-wall carpet. Having uncovered Ulla Ericson-Åström's original design in the Kasthall archives, product developer Peter Otell incorporated the pattern in one of Kasthall's most famous hand-tufted rugs – Moss. The new design was easy to name due to its swirly pattern made with an unruly yarn pile and protruding wool and linen threads. Virvel literally means swirl in Swedish.
