Mafrid's Bench Mafrid's bench is a piece of furniture that combines the functional with the subtle - designed to fit perfectly with the iconic Mafrid's dining table, but equally obvious as a solitary piece of furniture in the hall, at the bedside or in a generous bathroom. With its solid construction and minimalist shape, it creates a balance between presence and lightness. Like the dining table, Mafrid's bench is handmade on Gotland in solid birch or oak. The base is built with the same care, with each leg lightly set out to create stability and airiness. The solid seat is either plain or upholstered, depending on your preference - and the wood is chosen to follow the natural direction of the wood in an unbroken line. When the bench is used together with Mafrid's table, a harmonious expression is created where proportions, heights and materials meet in a visual whole. But the clean expression of the bench makes it easy to combine with other furniture - it stands well on its own.
