The 1788 chair was designed by Hans J. Wegner in 1974. The chair has a fantastic profile in the closing armrests, which reflects Wegner's signature sculptural details and talent for working with wood.

Resistance of the fabric
Martindale is a measure of how durable a fabric is. The higher the Martindale value, the more durable the textile. For home environments, a Martindale value of over 15,000 laps is usually recommended. For public environments, values of 30,000 are usually appropriate.
