Nanna Ditzel lived for a time in the Caribbean and developed an interest in colonial-era wooden architecture. With Trinidad, Nanna Ditzel has transformed her impressions and ideas into a light and elegant stackable chair.
It was designed in 1993 and has since achieved a status as a modern classic. In 1995, the chair won the ID Award (the Danish design award for industrial design) and the British "Minerva Award" for product design.
