Fredericia celebrates Nanna Ditzel's 100th anniversary by presenting the iconic Trinidad chair in new colours, Khaki, Nordic Blue and Oak oil with brushed stainless steel legs. The poetic but robust Trinidad chair celebrates its 30th anniversary this year when it was designed in 1993 and has since achieved a status as a modern classic.
Nanna Ditzel lived for a time in the Caribbean and developed an interest in colonial wooden architecture. With Trinidad, Nanna Ditzel has transformed her impressions and ideas into a light and elegant stackable chair. In 1995, the chair won the ID Award (the Danish design award for industrial design) and the British "Minerva Award" for product design.
