The Spoke-Back Sofa
The Spoke-back sofa is Mogensen's contribution when he and Wegner joined forces in 1945 to create their idea of "A Home for the Future". They showed off a living room in their booth at the annual exhibition of the Copenhagen Cabinetmakers' Guild. The Spoke-back sofa is a hybrid of a day bed and a chaise longue. The sofa was praised for its innovative approach, but was considered too sophisticated for the tastes of the post-war period and did not come into production until 1963.

Fabric wear resistance
Martindale is a measure of how durable a fabric is. The higher the Martindale value, the more durable the textile. For home environments, a Martindale value of over 15,000 laps is usually recommended. For public environments, values of 30,000 are usually appropriate.
