Elvang’s history is about ethics, integrity and respect. The company was founded in 2003 by Tina and Lasse Elvang and was the first company to introduce alpaca wool throws in Scandinavia. Today, Elvang’s luxury home furnishings and accessories are sold in many countries around the world, but their social and environmental commitment remains unchanged. Making responsible choices is at the heart of everything they do, from securing better wages for alpaca herders and employee benefits for weavers to reducing transport emissions, recycling packaging and reusing fibres. This has led to the highest possible level of recognition within the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO) as a guaranteed member and participation in the UN Global Compact initiative, ensuring that Elvang’s supply chains and business model put people, the planet and animals first.
