System Ultra Shelving System® System Ultra Shelving System® was launched in 1957 by Danish designer and manufacturer Poul Cadovius as a successor to the iconic Royal System® from 1948. System Ultra® is based on the same design principle as its famous predecessor, but it has its own visual appearance. The shelving system consists of wall-hung wooden rails, molded veneer shelves and hangers in brass, black steel or stainless steel. The system is characterized by the thin shelves with a refined wavy edge profile that gives the shelf a beautiful organic shape. It can be adapted in several combinations, where the different materials complement each other and reinforce the elegant design. In 1957, Poul Cadovius exhibited at the XI Triennale in Milan, where he won a silver medal for System Ultra®. A much appreciated award and an international recognition of an exceptional design.
