Cinderella Table
Cinderella table was created with compact living in mind. Designed by Anna Kraitz. Furniture with only a single function is a thing of the past. The future is multifunctional furniture that can be used for a number of different purposes. No need to hide furniture in wardrobes and cupboards. The Cinderella is made with substantial and strong legs in solid oak, adjustable in three heights. The table top in oak veneer, and with a fast and softly rounded edge in solid oak, can be wrapped in a specially made closed heat-resistant textile that will dress up the table top when the housework is on its way. "Compact living is the mirror of our time where many people want to live in the middle of cities, often in smaller apartments without much storage space," says Anna Kraitz. Furniture should not be made for just one purpose and then put away, it should adapt to different uses and will not be ashamed of its appearance.'
Cinderella aspires to be so much more than an ironing board. With tough legs in smooth solid American oak and an oak veneered table top, Cinderella stands firm and will adapt to all kinds of uses. "I made Cinderella because I needed an ironing board that is both practical and beautiful, so you don't have to put it away," says Anna Kraitz. I love to iron all my clothes and linen; they stay fresh and the fabrics last longer, but I want something better than an unstable thin board. I wanted to create a strong and elegant piece of furniture that will be welcomed for its beauty in any environment.' Anna Kraitz lets the wardrobe's ironing board transform into a flexible, versatile piece of furniture that enriches any environment. She once again challenges old furniture typologies by freeing the ironing board from its disposable life.
