When Carl Malmsten composed his furniture, he, like all other artists, wanted to express something - a feeling or a mood. He also emphasized this with the name of the furniture. Certainly, the armchair radiates Grandma with her friendly and rounded forms, the femininity and the homecoming that she likes to associate with the word grandma.
