Ocean Lounge Table
Ocean Lounge Table is part of a series of newly interpreted furniture that Nanna Ditzel originally designed for her own home in 1955. Now the furniture is manufactured by Mater with innovative materials and methods from the 2010s. The Ocean series was designed with the goal of being 100% sustainable at all levels. Plastic waste from the sea is used for the production. The panels consist of recycled hard plastic and fishing net parts, the frame consists of steel pipes. The furniture can be unscrewed and each component can be replaced and reused.
The furniture is tested to suit the outdoor environment.

Maters made the chair from sustainable materials to honor the UN's sustainability goals, to protect "Life Below Water" SDGs 14 and "Responsible Consumption and Production" SDGs 12 and "Partnership for the Goals" SDGs 17.
